About Trafford Youth Service

Trafford Youth Service works with and on behalf of young people aged 13-19. We offer advice, personal support as well as exciting opportunities to be involved in arts, music, outdoor activities and a variety of community based projects.

Where do youth workers work?

You can reach youth workers through:

  • Youth Centres
  • Youth Projects
  • Talkshop
  • The Mobile Unit
  • Schools
  • Street-based projects and
  • On the streets

What can I do?

They all offer a range of facilities, resources, activities and training including:

  • young peoples meeting places
  • drop in information and advice facilities
  • an arts and music studio
  • Outdoor Education
  • Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme
  • residentials
  • access to the UK Youth Parliament and
  • other ways for young people to have a voice

Is there any point to getting involved?

Young people's participation and involvement is recognised and accredited through:

  • Youth Achievements Awards
  • Duke of Edinburgh Award
  • Arts Award
  • British Canoe Union – canoeing and kayaking
  • First Aid Qualifications
